David Walliams
As part of World Book Day, we were recently very fortunate to be visited by brilliant children’s book author and entertainer, David Walliams! He has written such amazing books as Gangsta Granny, The boy in the girl’s dress, Mr Stink and Billionaire Boy!
He held the children’s attention in a great assembly, where he told the children [and staff!] about why and how he became an author. Some of the children around him had some fabulous questions to ask and he answered with humour and enthusiasm!
We also had questions from all the classes—they ranged from why did you become an author to which is your best job; comedian or author? Happily he was able to say that being an author was the best, because people would read his books for a long time to come! Everyone was very excited and inspired—Have a look at the children’s responses below!
