Our Governors are a vital part of our school. Their 3 main functions are as follows:
- To ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- To hold the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
- To oversee the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
They do this through meetings in which all governors take part, Sub - Committee meetings and one to one meetings. They offer their general experience and individual expertise which includes finance, the law, education and social care. Their role can best be summed up as a ‘critical friend’ to the Headteacher.
